The HUNGRY HORSE FOLK CLUB is located inside the very large: -

Whitby Sports & Social Club (formerly the Shell Club)

at the junction of

Chester Road & Dunkirk Lane

Whitby, ELLESMERE PORT

Cheshire, CH65 6QF

and is just a few miles from junctions 7, 8, 9 & 10 of the M53 and Junction 15 of the M56.

TRAVELLING FROM THE NORTH (Birkenhead/Wallasey) ALONG THE M53:

Come off the motorway at Junction 7 signposted (B5132) Whitby and Overpool.   Follow
the road for two miles when you will reach a 'T' junction, with traffic lights.
This is Chester Road.  Whitby High School will be on the right corner.

Turn RIGHT into Chester Road (A5032) and keep in the right lane at the traffic lights a few
yards further on.  A carpet shop and The Woodlands pub are now on your left here.

Drive through this set of traffic lights and once you have passed all the houses on your left,
you will arrive at Dunkirk Lane on the left.  The venue and main car park is on the corner
of this junction.    Although a large car park it can be very busy.

On concert nights, if needed, extra parking space is available behind the Oak Room which
is located at the bottom left corner of the main car park.    Look for the directional 'A' frame
notice board directing you through the large double gates.

TRAVELLING FROM THE SOUTH (Cheshire & North Wales) ALONG THE M53:

Come off the motorway at Junction 10 and take the A5117 towards Queensferry, to the
second roundabout. At this very large roundabout, (the Strawberry Roundabout) there is a
large red 'Merco' petrol station on the right corner), turn right onto the A5032
(Chester Road) towards Ellesmere Port town centre.

You will immediately see the Castrol Sports & Social Club on your right hand side (The Groves)
but drive past this until you see the Whitby Sports & Social Club also on your right further
along Chester Road at its junction with Dunkirk Lane.

TRAVELLING FROM QUEENSFERRY & NORTH WALES ALONG THE M56:

Turn off on to the A5117 towards Cheshire Oaks Retail Park and you will come to the large
Strawberry Roundabout (a large red 'Merco' petrol station is on the left corner).
Turn left here into the A5032 Chester Road, signposted to Ellesmere Port Town Centre.

You will immediately see the Castrol Sports & Social Club on you right hand side (The Groves)
but drive past this until you see the Whitby Sports & Social Club also on your right further
alonge Chester Road at its junction with Dunkirk Lane.

TRAVELLING FROM THE EAST (Frodsham/Helsby) ALONG M56:

Turn off the M56 at junction 15, being very careful not to turn fully left (on to the M53
towards Chester).   This is often easily done.
Once you are on the M53 north bound towards Ellesmere Port, Birkenhead and Wallasey, a
very short distance further on, come off at junction 10, the first junction you will come to.

Take the A5117 towards Queensferry to the second roundabout.   At this roundabout on your
right is a large red 'Merco' petrol station.   Turn right here on to the A5032 (Chester Road)
towards Ellesmere Port town centre.

Immediately on your right hand side you will see the Groves Social Club.   Drive past this
until you see the Whitby Sports & Social Club also on your right further along Chester Road
at its junction with Dunkirk Lane.
